» The Compassionate Friends
Whether your family has had a child die (at any age, from any cause), or you are trying to help those who have gone through this life-altering experience, The Compassionate Friends exists to provide friendship, understanding, and hope to those going through the natural grieving process.
Articles, discussions, and helpful information about end of life care, the challenges faced by caregivers, and how to cope with grief after a loss.
Our in-house collection of grief literature is free and can be picked up from our lobby at any time. We also have a lending library with selections covering many different types of loss. You may come in and check out a book and return it when you are finished. Our aftercare coordinator can recommend literature best suited to your individual needs.
Grief Speakers for Community Groups
Cavin-Cook Funeral Home is a grief resource to local schools, churches, and organizations. If you belong to a group and would like a speaker to talk on some of the harder subjects of life such as grief, death and dying, we invite you to contact us by phone or email. We strive to educate the community so that everyone is better prepared to handle the death of a love one.
