Thomas "Larry" Hager, 80, of Mooresville, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016 at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. He was born on November 12, 1935 in Mooresville, North Carolina, to the late Rev. Thomas A. Hager and Florence Brown Hager. Larry was born in Mooresville and lived here until the 3rd grade when his family moved to Statesville where he lived until his teen years, when he returned to Mooresville. He retired after 30 years with Celanese Industries in Salisbury as a Maintenance Mechanic. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Following his declining health he lived several years at Summit Place & Carillon Assisted living where you could always find him sitting on the porch. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Larry Randall "Randy" Hager; sister, Bobbie Stanley. He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Hager Childers and husband, Danny; 3 grandchildren, Brian Childers, Kisha Hager and Randall Hager and 6 great grandchildren. Graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, April 21 at Glenwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville.
