Patricia Marie Zeggert

Patricia Marie Andreessen Zeggert March 5, 1934 - September 7, 2026 A devout Catholic, she was predeceased by her parents, Doathens and Paul Andreessen, brothers, Paul and William, husband, Jack Raymond Zeggert and daughter Suzette. Patricia "Patsy" Zeggert lived a life full of creativity, adventure, and family. As a prolific artist and teacher of her gift, she was a celebrated professional watercolorist who won awards throughout North Carolina and New York. Her works have been showcased in galleries throughout the United States. Her artwork and individually hand-painted Christmas cards will be treasured by many for years to come. Having traveled the United States with her husband, Jack, in their Motorhome for nearly 15 years, they met and made friends from coast to coast. Her stories were vast, and the descriptions in her paintings were deeper, drawn from her travels. Patsy is survived by her children- John (Kim) Zeggert, Jim (Sharon) Zeggert, Andy (Lisa) Zeggert, Catherine (Rich) Pichura, Peggy (Chris) Alvis, Bill (Sushma) Zeggert; grandchildren- John Joseph, Randy, Shawna, Brooke (Caleb), Patrick (Seeley), Parker, Mary Lynn (Josh), Brad (Ashlee), Richard, Matthew (Jenna), Zac, Hannah, Nyra, Ryan; and several great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her loving doggies Nellie and Punkie, who were always by her side. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 11 at the Chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with Father Mark Lawlor and Chaplain Eddie Karriker officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Many thanks to Gwynis Forney and Jean Winkler for their tireless love and care, Hospice of Iredell County for their comfort and support in her final hours, and to the Freedom Connections community for their continuous love, prayers, and visits during Patsy's time living in Mooresville, at the home she shared with her son and daughter-in-law, and while in S.
