With profound sadness and unwavering faith, we announce the passing of Michelle "MiMi" Luffman Alexander, who entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on June 19, 2026. Michelle was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose life was marked by love, kindness, and a servant's heart. A longtime resident of Mooresville, North Carolina, she dedicated much of her life to caring for and nurturing children. Michelle worked for the YMCA and was the proud owner of Special Blessings Playschool, where she touched the lives of countless families and children through her compassion, patience, and genuine love. Michelle found her greatest joy in spending time with her family. She especially cherished traveling with her devoted husband, Randy, and creating precious memories with her grandchildren, who lovingly knew her as "MiMi." Whether sharing stories, celebrating milestones, or simply enjoying time together, her family was the center of her world. Michelle was preceded in death by her mother, Susan Lee Oliver; her stepmother, Willie Mae "Billie" Jones Luffman; her sister, Sandy Hunt; and her niece, Adrian Marie Buie. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Randy Alexander; her son, Treavor White; her daughter, Christina Houston (Grant); and her beloved sisters, Melinda Luffman and Monica Buie. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Connor, Sierra, Colt, Zayden, Watson, Alakai, Everly, and Bella, each of whom brought immeasurable joy to her life. Michelle is also survived by her beloved nieces and nephews: Hannah Schleicher and her children, Layla, Nathan, and Baylee; Hayley Beal (Hunter) and their children, Luke and Alora; Courtney Horne; and Savannah Luffman, along with many extended family members, dear friends, and her church family. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we take comfort in knowing that Michelle's legacy of faith, love, and generosity will continue to live on through all those whose lives she touched. Her warm smile, compassionate spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family and faith will never be forgotten. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 22 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 23 at Connection Church of God, 2173 Charlotte Hwy, Mooresville, NC 28117. Burial will immediately follow at Williamson's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, 575 Brawley School Rd, Mooresville, NC 28117.
