Kathleen Boncimino, passed away on Sunday, July 14 with her family and friends by her side. She was born in Schenectady, NY. She is preceded by her mother Helen Duffy Kissane and sister Helen Kissane. She will be dearly missed by her husband, Frank, and children Alexa, Jake and Nicole. She is survived by her father John (Carol) Kissane, her brother John, sisters Marie (Walter) Ewald, Anne Freeman and Jenny Kissane. Her family of many who miss her include brother and sister in-laws, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins. Kathy was a respected physician, dual Board certified in Internal Medicine and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and also obtained a Masters in Public Health. She touched the lives of many. Kathy loved life every day, and she was happiest spending time with her family. She started many family traditions like hosting Thanksgiving murder mystery dinners, picking out giant Christmas trees, conducting mommy school with the kids, watching Ancient Aliens, and hanging birthday signs around the house. She loved Halloween so much, especially gate night, that she declared October to be scary movie month. Kathy was the most selfless and giving person and always the first to offer help to anyone. Everyone who has met her, from family and friends, to her colleagues and patients and even acquaintances, would agree she would go out of her way to help others, without a mention, even in her own time of need. She left this world a better place. Kathy has been deeply loved by many and will be missed eternally by all. The family will be celebrating with a private service. In lieu of flowers, Kathy requested that donations be made in memory of her cousin, Tommy Kissane, a decorated volunteer Fire Chief. He passed too early and left behind his wife Alison and four young, beautiful children without life insurance due to a pre-existing condition.
