Judy Sue Robinson

Judy Webb Robinson, 83, of Cornelius, North Carolina, passed away on August 13, 2026. Born on June 4, 1943, in Bluefield, West Virginia, Judy was the daughter of Hazel Compton Webb and Wilburn Webb. She made her home in Charlotte and most recently Cornelius, North Carolina. Judy devoted 36 years of her career to the American Red Cross, serving in Hospital Services in Charlotte, NC. A consummate professional, she worked tirelessly in blood services, doing the behind-the-scenes, life-saving work of making sure hospitals and patients had what they needed, when they needed it. She took her work seriously, showed up fully, and earned the respect of all who worked alongside her. For Judy, it was never just a job. It was a calling she answered every single day for nearly four decades. Yet if her career was her calling, her daughter and grandchildren were her heart. Much of Judy's life outside of work was organized around Diana and her grandchildren, Bryce, Eli, and Maya. She was present, devoted, and fiercely proud, the kind of mother and grandmother who showed up in ways both big and small, and whose love for her family was the steady center of everything she did. Those who knew Judy best know that her love came with a signature delivery: a sharp wit and a well-timed sarcastic remark. If she was giving you a hard time, you could be sure you had her heart. It was simply her love language, and those lucky enough to be on the receiving end wouldn't have had it any other way. An avid gardener, Judy found joy in her yard, tending to her plants with the same quiet devotion she gave to everything she loved. Over the years she shared her home and her heart with many beloved pets, most notably her two poodles, Spanky and Coalman, and her beagle, Maddie. Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Wilburn Webb, and her brother, Jack Webb. She is survived by her daughter, Diana Boyd Miller; her grandchildren, Bryce Miller, Eli Miller, and Maya Miller; her sisters, Sandy Perdue (Jim), Kathy Walk (Mike), and Connie Harrell (Eddie); and her brothers, Doug Webb (Elaine) and Charles Webb (Melinda); and lastly, her dear cats Manny and Gloria, who are being spoiled by Diana and Eli. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Clubhouse at Alexander Chase Community in Cornelius, North Carolina. All who knew and loved Judy are warmly welcome to gather and share in remembering her life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Humane Society of Charlotte or the American Red Cross, two organizations that reflect the causes closest to Judy's heart.
