Diane Susan Titus

Diane Susan Titus, born September 12th, 1952, formerly Diane Susan Sansone, of Greensboro, North Carolina, passed away on September 7th, 2026, at the age of 73. Less than a week shy of her 74th birthday. Diane was the beloved daughter of Marion Frances and Joseph Anthony Sansone. She was the loving mother of Rebecca Titus, and cherished sister of John, Joey, Randy, and Tommy Sansone. Diane pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before earning her degree in physical therapy from Georgia Southern University. Throughout her life, Diane found meaningful ways to care for and serve others. In her younger years, she took great pride in serving as a Girl Scout leader and camp counselor, where she shared her time, kindness, and compassion with young scouts. Later in life, Diane devoted herself to caring for others through her work as a home health physical therapist, serving patients throughout the greater Mooresville and Statesville areas. Her work allowed her to bring her heart, warmth, and compassion into the homes of those she cared for. To this day, Rebecca continues to meet family of former patients who offer fond memories of Diane's kindness and lasting memory. Outside of her work, Diane enjoyed photography, scrapbooking, hosting, and spending time on the lake with friends and family. She found joy in bringing people together, creating an inviting home, and documenting memories with the people she loved. Diane is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Titus, and her brothers, John and Randy Sansone. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Joey and Tommy Sansone, and her parents, Marion Frances and Joseph Anthony Sansone. A memorial service will be held in November at her home in Mooresville. Following their passing her mother, Marion Frances aka Corinne, and her youngest brother, Joey (Joseph Anthony Jr.), were both laid to rest in unmarked graves at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Greensboro, North Carolina. This never sat well with Diane. Sadly, Diane's early-onset dementia prevented her from memorializing their lives with proper grave markers. Rebecca now hopes to complete this final act of love on her mother's behalf. She wishes to ensure that Diane's family plot properly honors the two people who were among the most beloved in her life. In this way, Diane's love for her family will continue beyond her lifetime-not only through the daughter she cherished, but through the names and memories of those she never forgot. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
