David Lloyd Billerman, 73, of Lincolnton, North Carolina, passed away on February 25, 2026, at Atrium Health Lincoln. David was born on July 23, 1952, in Decatur, IL, to the late Loyd William Billerman and Maxine Lavon Tempel Billerman. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Carol McQueen, and his brother, Steve Billerman. He graduated from Lakeview High School and went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Illinois University, later continuing his education to earn his Master's degree. Following college, David began his career in the tool and die casting industry at H & S Die in Illinois. Не later moved to North Carolina, where he advanced in his profession and ultimately served as President of AGIE/Elox machining company in Davidson, NC. His career afforded him the opportunity to travel globally, where he gained unique cultural experiences that enriched both his life and perspective. David had a deep love for the outdoors and treasured bike riding in the mountains with his wife, Diane, and their beloved dog, Niko. He found great joy in restoring vintage cars, with his favorite rebuild being his cherished 1968 Camaro. He also enjoyed working in his yard and generously helping others with their projects. Above all, David loved his family. He especially treasured time spent with his children. An avid problem solver, he was always ready to offer thoughtful guidance, steady advice, and practical wisdom to anyone who sought his counsel. His strength, kindness, and quiet leadership will be deeply missed. David is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Diane Bowles Billerman; his daughters, Kristen (Greg) Billerman of Gastonia, North Carolina, and Ashley Billerman of Gastonia, North Carolina; and his stepchildren, Amy and Barrett Anderson of Mooresville, North Carolina. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 5:30-7:30 pm, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home & Crematory, 494 East Plaza Drive, Mooresville, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in David's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
