Betty Davis Lee, 86, of Mooresville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 24, 2016. She was born on June 28, 1930, to the late Floyd L. and Emma Speight Davis. Betty attended Queens College, worked as an office manager for the late Dr. Kenneth Lassiter and was also the account manager for her husband's business, All Electric. During her time in Charlotte, Betty was an active member of Sugaw Creek Presbyterian Church and most recently was attending Williamson's Chapel United Methodist Church in Mooresville. After her retirement, Betty enjoyed gardening, traveling, reading and attending church activities. She was also a dedicated volunteer with Habitat for Humanity in Cornelius. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband of 64 years, Robert Hunter Lee, her daughter, Donna Lee Smith, infant son, Michael David, 2 sisters and a brother. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Lee Wade (Bill), son-in-law David G. Smith and 6 grandchildren, Erin Wade Holland (David), Emily Lee Wade, Ellyne Wade Mayes (Todd), Robert Michael Wade (Kynlon), Matthew Lorenza Wade, David Gregory Smith, II, and her sister, Catherine Burris. Betty dearly loved and spent much time enjoying her 6 wonderful great-grandchildren, Grace, Jack, Henry and Brooks Holland, Griffin and Harrison Mayes. Betty was loving and generous, kind and smart, the world's greatest mother and "Mamaw". She dearly loved her family and showed great devotion to her husband, daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a true treasure and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be Monday, September 26 from 6-8 pm, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home and Crematory. A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, September 27 at 10 am, at Williamson's Chapel United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mark Pitts officiating. Burial will follow the service at Glenwood Memorial Park. Memorials may be sent to the Mt. Mourne Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 32, Mt.
