It is with love and grief that we announce the passing of the beloved wife Tatyana Gerzon, on July 10th, at the age of 59. Originally from the former Soviet Union, Tatyana established herself in California back in the late nineties. Tatyana was a beautiful, humble introvert human being who experienced multi-cultural presence by accompanying her husband in expat missions around the world. She loved travelling and discovering the unique aspect of different continental geographies such as Eastern Europe, Middle East, South America and Asia. She moved to Mooresville with her husband in 2019 to enjoy North Carolina's forests as well as its amazing mountains. She was a skilled creative painter and crafts maker who expressed her spirit and creativity through her art. She also enjoyed designing scrap books and picture making giving great attention to details. With a loving heart, caring for others and a generous spirit, Tatyana created beautiful decoration fixtures all year round and for the holidays. These activities kept her vibrant and busy during her final years. She loved to do gardening all year round. She designed amazing outdoor raised garden beds and large vases with a variety of small trees and an abundance of multi seasonal flowers. Not only outdoors but she wanted to make sure our indoors would look like a flower shop. During the last 8 years in North Carolina her husband and the precious female cat, Vanda, were her daily companion. Her warmth and modest personality will be forever remembered by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband Mauricio, her sister Lada, niece Valeria and nephew Aleksander, plus her best friends Veronika and Svetlana. In lieu of flowers, honor memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, St. Jude Hospital and Iredell EMS. The blessing of Tatyana's ashes will be held on Friday July 17th at the daily 9:00am mass in the St. Therese Catholic Church located at 217 BRAWLEY SCHOOL ROAD, MOORESVILLE, NC 28117.
