Lavern Carl Hensel

Lavern "Vern" Carl Hensel, 81, of Mooresville, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at his residence. He was born on June 5, 1940 in Orchard Park, NY, to the late Elmer and Eleanore Cassidy Hensel. Mr. Hensel was a member of the National Guard and retired from Ferro Corporation after 41 years. He enjoyed watching football and NASCAR. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Carole Klein Hensel; son, Daniel Hensel and his wife, Angela; and step-children, Daniel and Dusty. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 18 from 10:00-11:00 AM with a service following at 11:00 AM at Mooresville AR Presbyterian Church with Rev. Andy Ward officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mooresville AR Presbyterian Church, 659 Carpenter Ave, Mooresville, NC 28115.
