Brenda Louise Puckett Alexander ("Granny"), 79, of Mooresville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on July 7, 2026. Brenda was born on May 16, 1947, in Mooresville, North Carolina, to the late Robert Hoyle Puckett and Doris Marie Lawing Puckett. She was a lifelong member of Williamson Chapel United Methodist Church, where her faith remained an important part of her life. Brenda started sewing at a young age. She loved to make clothes which led into several careers of sewing for Reeves and Custom Products, before becoming the owner of her own cleaning business. She took great pride in her work and was known for her attention to detail. She loved keeping her home clean, organized, and beautifully decorated for every season and holiday, creating a place where family always felt welcome. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Brenda loved cooking big family dinners and baking homemade desserts that brought everyone together. She loved the beach, soaking up the sunshine, and spending time in the backyard, on the dock at the lake, or at her favorite tanning salon. Every fall, she looked forward to the family's annual trip to the North Carolina mountains to watch the leaves change, a tradition she treasured. It was only fitting that orange, the color of autumn, was her favorite. In the evenings, she enjoyed watching mystery shows like CSI and Dateline, always trying to solve the case before the ending. Brenda also loved line dancing and square dancing, sharing many happy memories with her husband on the dance floor. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Norman Reynolds Alexander; her sister, Judy Puckett; and her daughter-in-law, Michelle Alexander. She is survived by her brother, Charles Puckett; her son, Randy Alexander; her daughter, Sandra Alexander (Randy Cooper); her grandchildren, Cristy Farr (Tim) and Stacy Mulligan (Dylan); her great-grandchildren, Maggie Farr, Kohen Farr, and Willow Mulligan; as well as two step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren. Brenda will be remembered for her loving heart, strong work ethic, generous spirit, and the way she made ordinary moments feel special. Whether she was preparing a family meal, decorating for the holidays, enjoying the beach, admiring the beauty of the mountains in the fall, or simply spending time with those she loved, she lived a life centered on family. Her love, warmth, and the memories she created will be treasured forever by all who knew and loved her. The family will receive friends from 4pm to 6pm on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Cavin Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville. Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Williamson's Chapel United Methodist Church 575 Brawley School Rd, Mooresville NC 28117.
