Susan Marie Eschenbacher Arroyo, 60, of Ocala, FL, formerly of Mooresville, NC and Rockland and Orange County, NY, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 in New York City. She was born on June 18, 1966 in Brooklyn, New York to the late William Eschenbacher and MaryAnn O'Brien Torpey. Susan was the proud owner of Monroe Travel, where her passion for helping others explore the world shone brightly. She also served as an agent at Coldwell Banker Realty, showcasing her dedication and talent in guiding families in their journeys to find a place they could call home. In addition to her work in real estate, Susan was a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant, exemplifying her heartfelt commitment to caring for others. Outside of her professional life, Susan enjoyed various hobbies and interests. She was an avid reader, a skilled crocheter who lovingly crafted items for her family, and a passionate painter who expressed her creativity through her art. Susan loved to travel, embracing adventures that included cruises and RV trips, each journey filled with unforgettable memories. Her appreciation for music, especially the sounds of the Moody Blues and Billy Joel, provided the soundtrack to many cherished moments, often spent riding motorcycles with her husband and enjoying the open road. At the end of a long day, Susan found peace and contentment in sharing a good glass of wine with her husband, valuing their quiet moments together. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband, Christopher DeFeciani. She is survived by her loving husband, Paul Arroyo; children, Joshua Weintraub (Nancy), Zachary DeFeciani, Lena DeFeciani (Karessa), Sean DeFeciani (Rachel); step children, Robert Arroyo (Michelle), Brian Arroyo (Gianna); grandson, Lorenzo Arroyo; step father, John Torpey; siblings, Caren Andersen, Thomas Eschenbacher, Diane Bryan (Robert); niece and nephews, Caitlynn Andersen, Carl Andersen, Jr., Michael Bryan; and great nieces and nephews, Jacob and Alice Borden, Charlotte, Carl III, and Carolyn Andersen.
