Steve Beaver, 56, of Mooresville, made his final stop on his "Living Life to the Fullest Tour" in Heaven. He died peacefully on Friday August 4th, surrounded by family and loved ones. He was a husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, co-worker, nephew, friend, mentor and inspiration to all who crossed his path and had the pleasure to know him. He fought a very courageous battle with cancer for over two years. He showed all who came in contact with him that it is possible to live life on your own terms, in your own way, and make memories every single day even if the odds are against you. His life was a daily living testimony that God is real, that his love for us is real, and that it WILL NEVER FAIL. Steve was an active member of The Cove Church in Mooresville and served on the production team for many years. He worked for Piedmont Healthcare in Statesville before his retirement in 2016. He was very involved in his community as a youth sports coach and served on the Troutman and South Iredell Athletic boards and PTA’s. Steve is survived by his wife of 28 years, Melissa (Missy) Carter Beaver, daughter Lauren (Zack) Bruce of Kannapolis, daughter Jordan Beaver (Darrell Stanley) of Wilkesboro, and grandchildren, Liam Bruce, Aeris and Addy Stanley; mother, Priscilla Hilgendorf of Hickory; sister, Elaine (Todd) Miller of Conover; and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and special friends whom he cherished and loved. In addition to his grandparents, he was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Beaver; sister, Angela Linder; nephew, CPL Ward Linder; and grandson Jaxson Beaver. A celebration of his Life will be held on Wednesday, August 9th at 2 PM at The Cove Church in Mooresville, with Pastor Larry Paulk officiating. There will be a casual gathering in the atrium after the service for visiting with the family. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made in his name to Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2341 Simonton Rd, Statesville NC 28625. The family will be gathered at their home in Mooresville throughout the next few days for visitation. He will be greatly missed but will be alive in our hearts forever.
