Patricia Souther Rinehardt, age 83, passed away at the Gordon Hospice House on March 31, 2018. She was born on December 14, 1934 in Olin, NC and grew up in Statesville NC. Pat married the love of her life, Fred Timothy Rinehardt of Mooresville in 1954. They remained inseparable with a passion for life and one another. Their shared love was both evident and admired by those around them. During her career, she worked at Draymore Manufacturing and managed the employee store at Burlington Industries. She was also a talented seamstress and her creations were cherished by many in the community. As an avid and accomplished golfer, it was only appropriate that she would also work in the Mooresville Golf Course Pro Shop She was a totally devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a dear friend to many. Her happiest moments were holidays, family get-togethers, and just spending time with family and friends. Her cooking and baking skills were legendary and a source of comfort and enjoyment at meal times and special occasions. Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Rochie Daniel Souther and Tishie Mary Lou Speaks Souther, sisters Belle Souther Goodin, Lela Souther Dishman, and Dorsey Souther. Pat is survived by her husband of 64 years, Fred and her daughter Pamela Rinehardt Robbins (Carl) of Mooresville. She is also survived by her sister Margaret Souther Femister and brother Lester Souther both of Statesville and many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends. Pat was an amazing Mamaw to her granddaughters Lesley Craig Bays (Ron) of Indian Trail and Jennifer Craig of Concord. She was an equally amazing Mamaw to her great grandchildren Chloe, Maddie, and Cooper Bays. Family and friends will gather at Central United Methodist Church for a memorial service on Thursday, April 5th at 2:00 pm with Reverend Randy Sherrill officiating followed by a celebration of Pat’s life in the church fellowship hall. The family would like to thank her caregivers from Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County and the staff at Gordon Hospice House. In addition, the family is grateful for the compassion and care provided by Dr. Thomas Gross, Dr. Richard Krumdieck, Dr. Tushar Patel and Dr. Patrick Laguerre and their respective staff members. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Central United Methodist Church, Mooresville, NC and Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County. Cavin Cook is serving the family.
