Jeffrey James Rodriquez, 63, of Mooresville, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Novant Health Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. He was born on June 9, 1956 in Newport, Rhode Island, to the late Louis and Carol James Rodriquez. Jeffrey was a man of many accomplishments and passions. He enjoyed education, music, sailing the seas, watching the stars, camping, boating LKN, traveling, martial arts & so many other talents. Jeff was very compassionate about his students in the Electrical field for around 40 years. He wanted their success for a better life with education. He wrote the “Code Made Simple” techniques so it would be studied and remembered for years beyond his classroom. He loved to create the materials for JCR Productions for a legacy to last throughout our lifetime. Jeff traveled the world with his family while his father was in the military, playing in a family band called “Mixed Generations”. He was their drummer. They played mostly for the military men in the Army and then onto other venues throughout the time they stayed together. Jeff was very proud of his family, children, grandchildren & most of all the love of his life Carol. They lived their marriage with devotion and their promise of love to each other “Forever and a Day” In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Rodriquez. He is survived by his wife, Carol Hollingsworth Rodriquez; children, Kelly Rodriquez, Aaron Rodriquez and wife Julia, Rhonda Brightbill and husband, Robert; sister Jody Rodriquez; sister, Tracy Vogrin and husband Dean; grandchildren, Alex, Jaxon, Indiana, Derek, Magen, Cassandra; great granddaughters, Triniti and Aleah and many nieces; and his most beloved fur babies, Maximus, Zachary, Ziggy, and Jasper. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, October 12 from 2:00-5:00 PM at the Charles Mack Citizen Center, Peddler Room, 215 N.
