Eunice Mae Dishman (July 14, 1937 - June 12, 2014) Eunice Mae Dishman went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 12, 2014, after a brief stay in Winter Haven Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Ansler Elze Dishman and late Lucy Isabell Nance Dishman. Eunice was born July 14, 1937 in Mt Ulla, NC and grew up in the Mooresville area. She graduated from Troutman High School in 1955 and went on to Appalachian State Teachers College where she graduated with a degree in elementary education. She was the first in her family to graduate from college. She taught in the Mooresville City Schools for two years and then moved to Florida where she taught elementary school for almost 40 years. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Winter Haven, FL which she joined in 1981 and attended Centre Presbyterian Church in Mooresville when she came home to visit. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Thomas Dishman, Lawrence Dishman, Kenneth Dishman, Boyden Dishman, Billy Dishman; sisters: Louise Dishman, Annette Dishman Alexander and Faye Dishman; nephew: Chris Dishman; niece: Renaye Jarrett Those left to cherish her memory: Sister-in-Law: Barbara Dishman, Brother-in-law: Davies Alexander, Nephews: Ronnie Dishman, Wesley Dishman, Jeffrey Alexander Nieces: Eileen Dishman Harrington, Marsha Dishman Warren, Harriet Dishman Clark, Denise Dishman Ervin, Patricia Dishman McDaniel, Martha Dishman, Cathy Dishman Burrell, Nancy Dishman Goodman, Debbie Dishman Bell, Phyllis Dishman Rascoe, Wendy Dishman Dellinger, Dawn Dishman, Mary Alexander Brown, Sylvia Alexander Ervin and her Florida family: Daniel Robinson and Ruth Robinson. Services for Miss Dishman will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 22 at Centre Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be immediately following the service.
