In Loving Memory of Ella Grace Ayers She is dancing in heaven, cradled in the arms of Jesus. Ella Grace Ayers, 19, was born on December 14, 2006, in Pinehurst, North Carolina, to Dan and Denise Ayers. She went to be with Jesus on April 17, 2026. Ella is survived by her loving parents, Dan and Denise, and her younger brother, Jacob, of Mooresville, NC. Her love for Jesus, family, and friends was evident in her daily life and in the way she nurtured her relationships. Ella shared an especially close bond with her younger brother, Jake, who was also her best friend. She loved deeply and effortlessly, filling every room with her gregarious personality, radiant smile, and contagious laughter. She leaves behind unforgettable memories for all who were blessed to know her. Ella was the best daughter, sister, and friend anyone could ask for. Her heart was larger than life, and she welcomed everyone with genuine kindness. She had a unique gift for making others feel seen, valued, and important, helping them recognize their own beauty and potential. Her passion for dance began at a very young age and continued throughout her life as she competed with grace and determination. She was a natural leader and a bright light in the lives of so many. An incredible chef, Ella poured her heart into creating memorable, from-scratch meals. She transformed ordinary evenings into cherished candlelit dinners with loved ones, where soulful jazz played softly in the background and conversation lingered late into the night. She loved visiting markets for fresh ingredients and never missed a trip to her favorite bakery. Her creativity in the kitchen was fueled by her daily pursuit of fitness and nutritional excellence. Always embracing life's adventures, Ella loved to travel and explored her creativity through disc jockeying, painting, and playing the guitar. She was an avid wake surfer who felt most at peace on the water, often soaking up the sun and capturing the beauty of a perfect sunset. Ella was a freshman student at UNCC and a proud member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, where she found deep sisterhood and lifelong friendships. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Greater Charlotte (www.rmhclt.org/donate/). When donating, please include Ella's name under "I would like to dedicate this gift." The Ronald McDonald House is the national philanthropy of Alpha Delta Pi, and its mission is to provide essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare. Ella's spirit will forever inspire us, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who love her. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ella's life on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at The Venues at Langtree, 554 Langtree Road, Mooresville, NC 28117. In true Ella fashion, guests are encouraged to dress with a Mediterranean-inspired, chic garden tea party theme-think Coastal Italy or Spain, with linen, flowy dresses, and, of course, sunglasses. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Lake City Church, 311 Bluefield Road, Mooresville, NC 28117. Flowers are accepted and may be sent to the funeral home.
