Edward George Graham (Ed/Eddie), age 69, of Sherrills Ford, NC passed away on March 20, 2026. Ed was born on April 30, 1956, to Margaret Ann and Fred T. Graham. He grew up in Elmont, NY where he attended Sewanhaka High School. He enjoyed working on and racing cars, playing lacrosse, woodworking, fishing and spending time in the outdoors. In 1993, Ed married his wife Barbara O'Brien, and blended their family of three boys Ryan, Chris and Brian. Ed spent much of his career working as a Manufacturing Cost Estimator at Lockheed Martin and L-3 Communications. Outside of work, he enjoyed being an outdoorsman; being on the water, in the woods or working in the backyard (filling bird feeders and picking up sticks). But his real joy was being a father and stepfather. His 2 favorite times of day were "Magic Hour" whilst on the water listening to Kenny Chesney, and just as the sunlight crept through the pines while in the woods (with pine needle pressed between his lips). Friends and family remember him as someone who can squeeze a lot of love into short periods of time, something he became very good at. He was funny yet sentimental and loved family traditions, especially around the holidays. His favorite thing to do was sit on the sidelines with his wife, watching their kids and grandkids play and coach the sports they love. Whether it was watching their sons play lacrosse, wrestle, and now coach together... or being the biggest fans of grandkids CJ and Rylea as they excel in their athletic journeys. Nothing brought more pride to him than seeing his sons and grandchildren compete, knowing the influence he has had on each of them, but most importantly, pride in knowing each of his kids and grandkids are/becoming good, genuine people. His legacy will live on within every whistle blown, goal scored and fish caught. None of that would have been possible without him. Ed is survived by wife Barbara, sons Ryan Graham, Chris and Brian Barrett, daughter in law Lea Anne Barrett and Grandchildren, CJ and Rylea Barrett, who he was affectionately known as Piyo. He was preceded in death by mother Margaret Ann, Father Fred T. Graham and brother Fred E. Graham. A Celebration of Life in North Carolina and New York will be held on dates to be determined.
