DUMITRU ZDRENTAN OCTOBER 3, 1954 - JANUARY 24, 2022 Dumitru (Mitru) Zdrentan was born in Ineu, Romania on October 3rd 1954. He was the 2nd child of 12 children born to Dumitru and Florita Zdrentan. In 1968 Mitru moved to Arad where he was also baptized in water in 1975. In March of 1976 he married Lidia Farcau and together they started a new life. In October 1977 God blessed them with their first child Radu Zdrentan. Desiring a better life for his family, Mitru immigrated to the United States in 1981. With the help of Philadelphia Romanian Church of Chicago, he started the process to bring Lidia and Radu to the US, who arrived in Chicago in 1982, where their family was reunited. In April of 1987 God blessed them again with their second son, Jeff David Zdrentan. In 1999 Mitru was baptized with the Holy Spirit and began serving in Church and in prayer meetings. In 2002 Mitru, Lidia, and Jeff moved to Arizona and in 2004 they moved to North Carolina, where Mitru served in Bethesda Church, Emanuel Moldavian Church, and Bethany Church as a deacon. Mitru worked hard his entire life to make sure that he can provide a comfortable life for Lidia and his children, and to be able to help his parents and his siblings with whatever he could. He loved his grandchildren, Ryan and Jonathan, and it brought him joy to have them visit him every summer. Mitru loved prayer and the Word of God. He took the spiritual gifts with which he was blessed seriously, and he desired to draw the brothers and the youth from the Church to a life of prayer and holiness. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. A fost al doilea copil din cei doisprezece copii nascuti familiei Dumitru si Florita Zdrentan. In anul 1968 Mitru s-a mutat la Arad, iar in 1975 a facut legamant cu Domnul in apa botezului. In Martie 1976 s-a casatorit cu Lidia Farcau si au inceput o noua viata impreuna. In Octombrie 1977, Dumnezeu i-a binecuvantat cu primul copil, Radu Zdrentan. Dorind o viata mai buna pentru familia lui, Mitru a plecat in Statele Unite in vara anului 1981. Cu ajutorul bisericii Philadelphia din Chicago, a inceput procesul de reintregire a familiei. Dupa un an de zile, in Mai 1982, Lidia si Radu au ajuns si ei in Chicago. In Aprilie 1987, Dumnezeu i-a binecuvantat cu cel de-al doilea copil, Jeff David Zdrentan. In anul 1999, Mitru a fost botezat cu Duhul Sfant si s-a implicat in biserica si serile de rugaciune. In anul 2002, Mitru, Lidia si Jeff s-au mutat in Arizona, iar apoi in 2004 s-au mutat in North Carolina. Aici Mitru a slujit ca diacon in Biserica Betezda, in Biserica Moldoveneasca Emanuel, si deasemenea in Biserica Betania. Mitru a muncit greu toata viata lui, sa asigure o viata comfortabila pentru Lidia si copiii lui, si sa poata ajuta si pe parintii si fratii lui . El si-a iubit nepotii, Ryan si Jonathan, si ii facea mare placere cand il vizitau in fiecare vacanta de vara. Mitru a iubit rugaciunea si Cuvantul Domnului. A luat in serios darurile spirituale cu care a fost binecuvantat si i-a placut sa incurajeze fratii si tinerii din biserica la o viata de rugaciune si sfintire. Nu vă îngrijoraţi de nimic, ci, în orice lucru, aduceţi cererile voastre la cunoştinţa lui Dumnezeu, prin rugăciuni şi cereri, cu mulţumiri. Şi pacea lui Dumnezeu, care întrece orice pricepere, vă va păzi inimile şi gândurile în Hristos Isus.
