Debbie was born in a small town near Charlotte, NC on October 22, 1957 to her parents, JW Moose and Carolyn McLemore. She grew up there until she moved to Lemoore Naval Air Station in Lemoore, CA in the late 70’s. Lemoore became her home for most of the rest of her life. She went to beauty school in Hanford, CA and became a beautician in the 80’s. She loved her job, her clientele, and her many coworkers over the years. If you didn’t get your hair cut by her, you knew someone who did. She "did hair" for over 20 years until she retired in the early 00’s. Her husband of 18 years, George Skaggs, passed away In 2003. She then met her current husband, Tim McDonald. She retired and moved to Coalinga, CA with him. They spent the remainder of her years taking numerous road trips across the U.S., a cruise to Hawaii and Mexico, and had many many other trips planned. Debbie loved trips and adventure. She was always prepared for anything. If you needed a pair of tweezers, some contact lens cleaner, an iron, or just about anything, she would pull it out of her purse or luggage. She loved taking her kids camping when they were younger and loved taking her grandkids places as well. Her grandkids were the light of her life. Debbie was and is loved by many and will always be remembered with her crooked smile, green eyes, bubbly personality and cutting everyone’s hair, even after retirement. She is preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Rodriguez (McLemore), her sister Rhonda Gail Oates (Moose), and a husband George Skaggs. She is survived by her father, JW Moose, husband and amazing caretaker Tim McDonald, her son Chris Williams, her daughter Stacey Williams, Stepson Troy McDonald and wife Gudrun McDonald, her grandchildren Cheyenne, Drew, Layne, Lisa and Chris, her sisters Cindy Howell (Moose) and Mary "Punkin" Gregory (Moose), several aunts and uncles, many nieces and nephews, and many, many other dear family (blood or not) members, friends and coworkers from one side of the country to the other. Please consider donating blood and/or platelets in honor of Debbie. Donations of blood and platelets were critical to her care over the last 3 years and could save someone’s life. Services will be as follows: Visitation at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home in Mooresville, NC on Monday, April 16th at Noon - followed by graveside services at Glenwood Memorial Park at 2pm.
