Davies Gregory "Gregg" Seacrist Junior, of Mooresville, formerly of Richmond, VA, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 21, 2024. A man who cherished his family and friends, will be fondly remembered in an upcoming celebration of his life. A magnetic storyteller with an unquenchable spirit, Gregg's warm personality and sales prowess cultivated cherished relationships throughout his life. From his humble beginnings selling canned goods at DelMonte Foods to his esteemed role as Vice President in the medical eye care software industry, Gregg's dedication and passion were always evident. An alumnus of Frank W. Cox High School and Virginia Tech, Gregg was a proud mentor, father, and husband. He adored supporting his son's football games, his daughter's cheerleading competitions, and his granddaughters' softball games and soccer matches. His infectious energy and love will be deeply missed by those who knew him. A visionary with a knack for leadership, Gregg co-founded Seacrist Motor Sports Inc and played a pivotal role in the Pro Mud racing team, breaking the world record in 2013. An active member of the community, Gregg's philanthropic efforts with the Rotary and his steadfast commitment to Southside Baptist Church will always resonate with those who had the honor of knowing him. Gregg is survived by his beloved wife, Donna Roe Seacrist; his devoted sister, Lori Seacrist-Morris; his loving children, Dawn Michelle Grubbs and husband, David Scott Grubbs, Dustin Gregory Seacrist and Kalli Assaid Seacrist and Corey Lindsey Seacrist; his cherished grandchildren, Cassidy Grubbs-Munson and husband, Matthew Munson, Allison Elanie Grubbs, Joshua Davis Grubbs and Hayden Marie Lynch and great-grandchild, Clarissa Day Munson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Davies Gregory Seacrist, Sr. and Jewell Rosetta Hager Seacrist. Friends and family are warmly invited to honor Gregg's memory at two upcoming ceremonies. A reception will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 4:30-6:00 PM at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home in Mooresville. The celebration will continue in the Heritage House at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. In further remembrance, a visitation will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2024, from 2:00-3:00 PM with a service following at 3:00 PM at Middle Fork Baptist Church in Chilhowie, VA. Burial will follow the service in the Middle Fork Cemetery with a reception following in the church. As we anticipate the opportunity to honor and cherish the memory of Gregg Seacrist Jr., we reflect on a life well-lived and a legacy that will endure in our hearts forever.
