David Orien Wilhelm, 50, of Mooresville, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Iredell Memorial Hospital, Statesville. Born March 31, 1966, in Statesville, he was the son of Daniel O. Wilhelm, of Olin and Linda McNeely Wilhelm, of Mooresville. David was owner/operator of Shepherd Lawn and Garden. He was a member of Vanderburg United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his aunt, Judy Brumley and cousins, Scott and Dennis Brumley and his special four legged friends. David loved working with plants and fishing at the Outer Banks. Funeral services will be held at 4 PM, Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at Vanderburg United Methodist Church with Rev. Tommy Ingalls and Rev. Sylvia Wilhelm officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 – 4 PM, prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vanderburg United Methodist Church, 1809 Charlotte Hwy, Mooresville, NC 28115 or the Charity of Donor’s Choice.
