Cynthia (Cinnie) Mack Powell, born March 13, 1963- passed Saturday, March 5, 2016. Cinnie is the daughter of Lewis and Dottie Mack. A 1981 graduate of Mooresville High School, Cinnie graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in1984 with a BS in Industrial Relations. She worked in the printing industry all of her career beginning with Meredith-Burda Inc. in Newton, NC as a quality control technician. She was later employed by Trident in Huntersville, NC for the remainder of her career as a senior customer service representative account manager for Mars, Inc. She retired in 2015 Cinnie enjoyed her large family, time at their house on High Rock Lake, the family's two dogs and cat, and was a master of finding shark's teeth at the beach. She had recently begun a quilting hobby with great success. Cinnie was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Dottie Mack, and her grandparents Charles and Alice Mack and Helen S. Bradshaw. She is survived by her husband, Rod Powell, daughters Clair Powell of Phoenix, AZ, Abby Powell of Mooresville, and future son in law, JJ Morrow of Tucson, AZ. Also surviving Cinnie are brothers Rick Mack and wife Nancy, Scot Mack and wife Carolyn, Chris Mack and wife Brenda, Kevin Mack and wife Michelle, sister Mandy Amon and husband John, brother-in-law Brian Powell and wife Kim, sister-in-law Beth Powell Crowe and husband Bill, and mother-in-law Doris J. Powell. Nieces and nephews include Lydia Hedrick and husband Cory, Jillian Mack, Forrest Mack, Spencer Mack, Ginger Morgan and husband Jonathan, Tonda Huggins and husband Adam, Caroline Mack Maclaga and husband Josh, William Mack and wife Lauren, Hannah Mack, Cassidy Amon, Victoria Amon, Cooper Amon, Alexandria Amon, Austin Powell, Alyson Powell, Amanda Powell, Evie Crowe, and Lawton Crowe. We will all miss her deeply. The family will receive family and friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday, March 7 at Heritage House of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home and will celebrate Cinnie's life at a Catholic funeral mass on Tuesday, March 8 at 10:30 am at St. Therese Catholic Church, both located in Mooresville. The Hospice of Cabarrus County tended to the family's needs during Cinnie's final days.
