Carol Lee Weir Kanzigg Ramey (December 19, 1938 - December 25, 2014) Mrs. Carol Weir Ramey, 76 went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, December 25, 2014. She was born December 19, 1938 in Bellaire, Ohio City Hospital and was the daughter of the late Edward William Weir and Dorothy Lucille Secrist Weir of Bellaire. She is survived by: her husband Jack, brother William "Bill" Weir and wife Joann of Gnadenhutten, Ohio, sons: Kenneth "Mark" Kanzigg and wife Donna of Seymour, Tennessee, Terry L. Kanzigg and wife Pam of Holly Springs, North Carolina, Brian E. Kanzigg and wife Cassie of Troutman, North Carolina, and Jason T. Ramey and wife Kelly of Dallas, North Carolina. Stepson: Jack "Wayne" Ramey, Jr. of Florida, and step daughter Sue Ella Ramey of Atlanta, Georgia. Grandchildren: Lauren Kanzigg, Rachael Kanzigg, Andy Kanzigg, Ben Kanzigg, step granddaughter Jennifer Hope (husband Darren) and two step great granddaughters Mackenna and Hayden Hope, and nieces and nephews. She was a tender, caring mother who loved her family dearly, and will be sorely missed by them. Carol worked more than 20 years in the mental health and primary healthcare fields in Tennessee and North Carolina. She obtained her real estate license in 1984, became a broker, and operated her own real estate appraisal business until she retired. Carol loved the Lord with all her heart, soul, mind, and strength. She actively served Him at church and in the Lake Norman community. She was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need and loved to volunteer and help others. She was a member of Peninsula Baptist Church, The Order of the Eastern Star, Lake Norman Regional Medical Center Auxiliary, and the Lions Club. Funeral will be held at 3 PM, Sunday, December 28, 2014, at Peninsula Baptist Church with Dr. Robert Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 PM, Saturday, December 27, 2014, at Peninsula Baptist Church.
