Carol Ann Giosia (Leverick), 78 years old, of Runnemede, NJ from Haddonfield, NJ passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022. Carol was born on January 12, 1944, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Mario and Hilda Nadijcka. Carol, also known as “Memom”, loved her family so very much; her kids and grandkids were her life. She loved talking to every one of them for hours on end, either in person or on the phone. They all knew they could talk to her about anything and always had her full support and never passed judgement. She always had the best advice, even if we didn’t want to hear it. Memom loved to feed her family and often asked, “Do you want something to eat? Or Can I get you something to drink?” She was famously known for her hearty mashed potatoes. Memom was known for her weather forecasting and her family often referred to her reports as “the weather according to Memom”. Her joy for life & living was contagious. She loved all her cats and birds dearly, she was the undefeated Words with Friends’ champion, and she was an evening coffee drinker and night owl. Memom would know when one of her children or grandchildren was feeling down and would do anything to try to cheer them up even when they didn’t want to talk. She was everyone’s mom. Anyone was warmly welcomed into her home, no matter if you are family, friend, or stranger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Giosia, Sr. and her sister Amy Nadijcka. Carol was a dedicated mother to all her children and grandchildren. Family came first and was above all else to Carol, a value she instilled in all those around her. The hole left by her absence will be impossible to fill. She is survived by her children, daughters Tracy (Kevin) Molloy of LaGrangeville, NY and Nicole (Bruce) Verbit of Westville, NJ; sons Francis (Ronda) Leverick of Terrell, NC, Daniel “Scott” (Allison) Leverick of Haddonfield, NJ, and stepson Robert (Diana) Giosia of Runnemede, NJ. Grandchildren Sean (Kristyn) Molloy, Kyle (Courtney) Molloy both of Lagrangeville, NY, Erika (P.J.) Gorman of Hurst, TX, Cody Snyder and Taylor (John) Leverick of Kannapolis, NC, Daniel, Lucas, and Abigail Leverick of Haddonfield, NJ, and Shayla (Cody) Brown of Deptford, NJ. Carol is also survived by her dear friend and sister-in-law, Kathy (Skip) Cohan of Williamstown, NJ. Private service on Friday October 21, 2022. A memorial to be held in New Jersey at a future date.
