Barbara Ann Roisler, of Troutman, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on July 22, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 15, 1948, in Shawano County, Wisconsin, to Lothar and Norma Heger. Barbara was raised on the family farm in Shawano County, where she developed the strong work ethic, resilience, and deep love of nature and adventure that would remain with her throughout her life. She graduated from Sussex Hamilton High School in 1966. On her birthday, July 15, 1967, Barbara married the love of her life, David Roisler. Together they built a beautiful life centered on faith, love, and family, sharing 59 years of marriage. Together they raised two children, son Todd Roisler and daughter Amy (Dan) Gibbs, and were blessed with their beloved grandson, Spencer Roisler and loyal dog GiGi. Barbara lived a life rooted in faith, love, and service. Her relationship with Jesus Christ was at the center of everything she did and guided the way she cared for her family, friends, and community. A devoted member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Troutman, she found purpose and joy in serving alongside her church family, faithfully folding weekly bulletins and lovingly helping create mission quilts for those in need. Barbara had a heart for adventure and believed life was meant to be lived fully. She cherished traveling, discovering new places, and especially riding motorcycles with the love of her life, David, creating countless memories together on the open road. Barbara was also known for her delicious cooking and scrumptious baking. Her kitchen was a place of love, and she was always happy to share a meal or sweet treat with anyone who needed a little help, a pick-me-up, or simply because she cared. She had a wonderfully creative spirit, and you never knew what project she would dream up next. Whether she was creating beautiful glass art, painting rocks, decorating for every season, or experimenting with a new recipe, Barbara found joy in making life a little brighter for those around her. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Lothar and Norma Heger; her brothers, Keith Heger, Dennis Heger, and Michael "Mike" Heger; and her sister, Norma "Tootie" Block. She is survived by her loving husband, David Roisler; her son, Todd Roisler; her daughter, Amy Gibbs (Dan Gibbs); her grandson, Spencer Roisler; her siblings, Lothar "Sonny" Heger, Kathleen Kriehn, and Nola Mertes; along with many extended family members, dear friends, and her church family who will cherish her memory. Barbara will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, unwavering faith, adventurous heart, and the unconditional love she shared with everyone around her. She found joy in life's simple moments, treasured every opportunity to spend time with those she loved, and left a lasting impression through her kindness, quiet strength, and servant's heart. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she has been welcomed into the arms of her Savior, where she is whole again and at peace. While her presence will be deeply missed, the love she gave, the faith she lived, and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of all who knew her forever. A memorial service celebrating Barbara's life will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 225 Morgan Street, Troutman, NC 28166. Visitation with the family will immediately follow the service. Memorial donations may be made to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church: Memo line - Quilting Ministry.
