    William Martin Fletcher

    September 7, 1962 - January 28, 2022

William Martin Fletcher, "Fletch", 59, of North Myrtle Beach, SC and formerly of Indian Land, SC, entered into rest on Friday, January 28th, 2022, he was surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 7, 1962 in Palma, OH, son of Mark J. Fletcher, and late Mary Martin Fletcher. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Martin Fletcher, and brother Michael Fletcher. As a young child, he learned the ethic of being a hard worker by assisting his father on a Pepsi truck. He later went on to attend Vanderbilt University, where he played college football and got a bachelor's degree in geophysics, and a minor in criminal sociology. He then went to LSU to further his education and received a master's degree in banking, and Regis University for a master's degree in business. Fletch spent his time with those he loved by being on the lake, boating, riding his Harley Davidson, UTV trail riding and enjoying his favorite adult beverage, Jack Daniels. He was hardworking, compassionate, radiated positive energy and showed genuine care for those he loved, and those he worked aside. Most important to him was his family and friends. He will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and friend. He leaves a lasting legacy to be cherished by his loved ones, his wife of 34 years, Jan Fletcher; son, Hayden Fletcher of Mooresville, NC; daughter, Kelsey Horne and husband, Brandon Horne of Monroe, NC; dogs, Muffy, Jack, Molly, Harry, and Abby; and grand-dogs, Ruger, Nelli, and Chevy. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 3 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, February 4 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow the service at Glenwood Memorial Park. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all the hospital nurses, physicians, and staff at McLeod Seacoast, McLeod Florence Regional Medical Center, and CMC Sanger Heart and Vascular Institute for the unwavering compassionate and supportive care that was provided. Your kindness will never be forgotten. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Atrium Health Sanger Heart and Vascular Institute of Charlotte, NC. Cavin-Cook Funeral Home & Crematory, Mooresville, is serving the Fletcher family. Condolences may be made to the family at www.cavin-cook.com.
