Kristopher Wesley Drake

Kristopher "Kris" Wesley Drake of Mooresville, NC passed away on Saturday April 2, 2022. Kris was born on October 22, 1983, in San Diego, CA. He graduated from Mt. Miguel High School in 2001 and moved to North Carolina in 2004. He was a machinist and a welder, and he enjoyed the opportunity to frequently travel for work. He was a member of Mooresville Masonic Lodge #496 in Mooresville, NC and was very proud of his involvement in this brotherhood. He loved music of all kinds, and playing the guitar was one of his favorite past times. He was an animal lover and adored his pets. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, planting trees and working on his yard. Family and friends were always important, and Kris loved to stay in touch with those both near and far away. He had an infectious smile and fun-loving personality that will be missed by many. Kris is survived by his grandmother, Hazel Drake of CA; father, Danny Drake of CA; mother, Debbie Drake of CA; brothers, Mikey Drake and wife, Jennifer of Troutman, NC and Shaun Drake of CA; nephews, Randy Drake and girlfriend, Kelly Laughton of CA and Mason Drake of Troutman, NC; niece, Karley Williams and husband, Evan of CA; goddaughter, Aria Dawkins; and a large extended family. A visitation will be held at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home in Mooresville, NC on Wednesday April 13, 2022, starting at 5pm. The funeral service will follow at 6pm.
