Judith Rosalie Butcher

Judith "Judy" Corns Butcher, 79, of Salisbury, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. She was born on September 9, 1942 in Davin, West Virginia, to the late Donald and Eloise Blankenship Corns. Mrs. Butcher was a 1960 graduate of Man High School. After graduation, she got a job in Washington DC with the DAR. She came back to West Virginia and had jobs at Man Hospital and Pittston Coal Company, before moving to Mooresville, NC, where all her family had relocated. Her last employment was with Lake Norman Medical Center. She loved flower gardening and had a great green thumb. She enjoyed working puzzles, crafts, traveling, and taking a ride to get a milkshake. Mrs. Butcher loved her family and spending time with them. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Butcher; sister, Margaret Meade and husband, John; brother, Donald Corns and wife, Alicia; grandchildren, Travis, Joseph, Michael, and Gabriel; and numerous nieces and nephews. No services will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brightmoor Nursing Home, 610 West Fisher Street, Salisbury, NC 28114.
