Jack Curtis of Mooresville, N.C., passed from this life to be in the presence of Jesus in a glorious time, surrounded by his family on January 27, 2022. He was born June 5, 1928, and lived a wonderfully long life with the love of his life and wife of 71 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill & Hattie Curtis, and brothers, Donald and Jerry. He is survived by his wife Eleanor, 2 brothers, B, and David (Rachel), 3 sons - Dan, Scott (Christie), Mark (Pam); 6 Grandchildren - Asheli Thompson (Eric), Kate Walser, Kristin Brown (Jason), Leighann Lewis (Brent), Megan and Joshua, along with 17 great-grandchildren. He provided for his family as a manager at Delks 5&10, as an entrepreneur with his ownership of Big Pig Barbeque and ended his career as the Executive Director of the Mooresville Housing Authority. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay and rejoice that you are in heaven. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." Ps 116:15. The Celebration of Life will be held at Central United Methodist Church, 214 N. Academy St., Mooresville, N.C., at 2pm Sunday, January 30, 2022. There will be a time of fellowship after the service in the Church Fellowship Hall. Cavin-Cook Funeral Home and Crematory, Mooresville, is serving the Curtis family.
