Guildo Roy

March 14, 1945 - January 19, 2022

Guildo "Guil" Roy, 76, of Mooresville, North Carolina, passed away on January 19, 2022. He was born on March 14, 1945 in Canada to the late Azilda Roy. Guil loved our country and he proudly served in the Marine Corps during Vietnam. He continued to wear red on Fridays throughout the remainder of his life. He loved to go camping, NASCAR, hockey, and spending time with his grandchildren. Guil was a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church where he served as an usher and in other areas. He was always available and willing to help. He never met a stranger. He loved God and his family. He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Roy; children, Lisa Bartley (Roger), Brenda Cruz (David) and Nicole Brown (Michael); grandchildren, Caleb, Aubrey, Mia and Michaela; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 2pm at Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC with the Rev. Dave Keck.
