Doris May Proefrock

July 8, 1942 - May 30, 2022

Doris May Proefrock, 79, of Sherrills Ford, NC, passed away on May 30, 2022, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC. She was born on July 8, 1942, in Niagara Falls, NY to the late Louis Kramarczyk and Stefania Banks Kramarczyk. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Terry Kramarczyk. Doris was a loving wife, mother, and involved grandmother. Her witty sense of humor always kept her family on their toes. She enjoyed cooking, reading, painting ceramics, traveling, and entertaining her family and friends. She was an avid boater and loved to golf with her husband, Jerry. Doris is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Gerald "Jerry" William Proefrock; children, Dominick Valery (Kim Schumacher) and their children, Maria, Veronica, and Dominick II "Sonny", Theresa Werth and her children, Cory, Amanda, and Ben, Daniel Proefrock (Ashley Overcash) and their children, Ella and Amber-Lynn. A Memorial to Celebrate Doris' Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. John Lutheran Church and School, 6950 Ward Rd., North Tonawanda, NY 14120. Please include "Doris Proefrock memorial" on the memo line. Funds will go to the care and improvement of the grounds of the church.
