Claire Ruth Bean Borkowsky, 79, of Mooresville, passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021. She was born on March 12, 1942 in Newark, NJ, to the late Philip and Sara Gordon Bean. Mrs. Borkowsky was a Registered Nurse for over 40 years. She was a Emergency Room nurse at Lawrence Hospital, worked at a private doctor's office, and later retired from Brian Center Nursing Home as the director of nursing. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women, Red Hatters Group, and the KUG girls. She loved to travel and enjoyed spending time with her family and her special group of friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Joan Biaco and Diane Bean. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Russell Borkowsky; children, Sharon Efrid of NC, Walter Borkowsky and wife, Joy of MD; grandchildren, Brandon Adams and wife, Caitlynn of NC, Evan Rayhill of Italy, Eric Borkowsky of MD, and Lauren Borkowsky of WV; and great grandson, Wyatt Adams of NC.
