Carla Rebecca "Becky" Long, 55, of Gold Hill, NC, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at her home. She was born on May 13, 1967, in Concord, NC, to the late Bobby Guy Long and Helen Ruth Montieth Nichols. In addition to her parents, she is preceded by a sister, Loretta Chamberlin and brother, Randy Long. Becky was self-employed and a woman of many talents. She was known throughout her community and her friends as "one of the hardest working women they knew." Becky is survived by her mother-in-law, Julie Logan of Rockwell; daughters, Crystal Jessup (Joe) of Sanford, and Dawn Davis (Todd) of Gold Hill; stepdaughter, Julie Logan of Rockwell; son, Cody Barnhardt of Concord; sister, Candice Middlebrook of Salisbury; brothers, Tommy Long (Tina) of Rockwell, and Larry Long of Salisbury; granddaughter, Lily Jessup of Sanford; grandsons, Logan Jones and Sawyer Davis of Gold Hill; many nieces and nephews but most of all her beloved dog and partner in crime, Fred. A Celebration of Life for Becky will be held on Friday, July 15, at 12:00 noon, at Gold Hill United Methodist Church, 730 St. Stephens Church Rd., Gold Hill, NC with Rev. Chris Williams officiating. Burial will follow the service in Brookhill Memorial Gardens, 8625 US 52 Hwy, Rockwell, NC. Cavin-Cook Funeral Home and Crematory, Mooresville, is serving the Long family.
