backgrounds, beliefs and thoughts as to what a funeral service should
be. That is
why our staff will provide you with all options that are available
for personalizing your funeral service. There are many ways to personalize
a funeral service, such as special music or readings at a funeral
service,
or displaying photographs and personal items that best reflect the
many important times in that person’s life. Regardless of the request,
personalization is always a welcomed part in all of our funeral services.
Below are a
few types of funeral services that can be personalized in many different
ways to meet the needs of you and your family.
- Traditional Funeral Service:
This type of funeral service is held in a funeral home chapel or church, with burial at a chosen cemetery. If a visitation period is desired, it can be the night before or the day of the funeral service. This type of service can be done in many different ways to reflect the wishes of you and your family.
- Graveside Service
This type of funeral service takes place at the cemetery. If a visitation is desired, it can be the night before or the day of the graveside service. This type of service can also be done in many different ways to meet the needs of you and your family.
- Memorial Service
A memorial service is a service of remembrance without the deceased present at the funeral service. This type of service can be held at any appropriate location.
Cremation
People choose cremation for a variety of reasons. Some do so based on environmental considerations. Others have philosophical or religious reasons. Still others choose cremation because they feel it is simpler and less complicated. Whatever the reason for choosing cremation, many people find that it not only gives them an opportunity to create and personalize their funeral service, but also offers numerous options for final disposition of the cremated remains.
The greatest misunderstanding about cremation is the belief that with cremation, there is no need for funeral services. However, a funeral or memorial service is an important step in helping the bereaved overcome their grief.
Cremation services can be held in a variety of ways to meet the needs of you and your family. Listed below are just a few.
- Funeral Service with Cremation as Final Disposition
This type of cremation service is similar to a Traditional Funeral Service, with the funeral service being held in a funeral home chapel or church. A cremation or rental casket is used for the funeral service. At the conclusion of the funeral service, the deceased is then taken to the crematory for cremation. If a visitation is desired, it can be held the night before or the day of funeral service.
- Cremation Funeral Service
This type of funeral service can be held in a funeral home chapel or church with the cremated remains present at the funeral service. At the conclusion of the service, the cremated remains can either be taken to the cemetery for burial or returned to the family. If a visitation is desired, it can be held the night before or the day of the funeral service.
- Graveside Cremation Service
This type of cremation service is held at a cemetery. Cremated remains can be present or buried before the funeral service. If a visitation is desired, it can be held the night before or the day of funeral service.
- Cremation with Memorial Service
A memorial service is a service of remembrance without the cremated remains present at the service. This type of service can be held at any appropriate location.
- Direct Cremation
There are no funeral services in a Direct Cremation. The funeral home provides all necessary required services in processing the cremation and returning the cremated remains to the family.
