William Albert Greenhill

William Albert Greenhill, 90, of Kannapolis, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2011 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
He was born on May 1, 1921 in Mooresville, to the late Sidney Johnson and Nanney Dellian Greenhill. He was a WWII veteran serving in the US Air Force and a retired electrician. Mr. Greenhill was a member of Centerview Baptist Church of Kannapolis. He was a city commissioner and vice mayor of Flagler Beach, FL.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Craven.
Mr. Greenhill is survived by his wife of 63 years, Loner Ree Fowler Greenhill; children, Dellian Qualls and husband, Douglas of St. Augustine Beach, FL, William Wayne Greenhill and wife, Cynthia of Orlando, FL, Renee Long and husband, Butch of Concord; sister, Betty Shepherd of Bunnell, FL; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Mr. Greenhill’s home on Thursday, September 1 from 4:00-7:00 PM. Burial will be private.
