Tommy Roland Oliphant

Tommy Roland Oliphant, 62, of Mooresville, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at his residence.
He was born on April 15, 1949 in Mooresville, to the late Albert Davidson and Audrey Mason Oliphant. He was a US Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War with Charlie Company 1/7 Air Calvary, and a retired brick mason for Gates Construction in Mooresville.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah “Pattie” Peeler Oliphant; children, April O. Owen and husband, T.C. of Monroe, Chris Sutten of Mooresville, Michelle Sutten Hardin and husband, Chris of China Grove; brothers and sister, David Oliphant and wife, Carol of Mt. Ulla, Valerie Haboustak and husband, Jim of Cleveland, OH, Steve Oliphant and wife, Laura of Salisbury; and grandchildren, Kane Sutten, Hailey Sutten and Myah Hardin.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 7 at Salisbury National Cemetery.
