Ruby Lowe Lawter

Ruby Lowe Lawter, 94, of Ahoskie, formerly of Mooresville, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at her residence.
She was born on March 10, 1917 in Wilkes County, to the late William Cole and Geneva Price Lowe. She retired from Mooresville Mills and Burlington Industries with 47 years of service. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Mooresville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Roscoe Lawter; grandson, Branden Russ; eight brothers and one sister.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara L. Warren and husband, Raymond “Chub”, of Ahoskie; granddaughter, Kimberly Warren Russ, of Statesville; grandson, Cody Beasley, of Greenville/Nags Head; step-daughter, Janice Lawter Owen, of Balsam Grove; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 15 at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Childers and Rev. Hal Greene officiating. Burial will follow the service at Glenwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00-8:00 PM at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.
