Ronald Benedick Seckar

February 26, 1936 - January 18, 2012

Ronald B. Seckar, 75, of Sherrills Ford, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at the Sherrills Ford Hospice House.
Ron was born in New Jersey and lived in the tri-state area before retiring to North Carolina. He graduated from Newark College of Engineering. He enjoyed flying private planes, boating and had a love for music.
Ron is survived by his wife, Jean, of 54 years; daughters, Donna Manceri and Tammy Barocsi; grandchildren, Brittany Barocsi, Cole and Ryan Manceri; sister, Kathy Brostowicz; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by granddaughter, Lyndsey, who was waiting for him at heaven’s door.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 20 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
The family would like to thank the staff of Sherrills Ford Palliative Care and Hospice Center for their extraordinary care and love.
