Richard Baugh Mason
September 19, 1930 - December 4, 2011
Richard “Dick” Baugh Mason, 81, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at The Pines in Davidson.
Dick was born on September 19, 1930 in Erid, OK. He attended Kansas University, where he was a member of the National Fraternity, Phi Kappa Psi. He was a chemical engineer and worked for Nalco Chemical in Chicago. Dick will be remembered for his love of family and friends. He especially was known for his “Bridge” playing, sense of humor, and rooting for Kansas Basketball team. One of his finest honors and one that meant so much to him was achieving the Eagle rank in Boy Scouts.
He is survived by his wife, Adalee Riley Mason; his two children, Jeffery David Mason and wife, Lisa of St. Augustine, FL, Kimberle Beth Mason Hall and husband, Todd of Lincoln, NE; grandchildren, Eric and Jessica Mason, Chad and Grant Hall. He is also survived by his step children, Bridget Colleen and Michael Riley McNew of Maryville, TN.
There will be a visitation held in the Living Room of the Pines in Davidson on Friday, December 9 at 2:00 PM. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 10 at 2:00 PM at Centre Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Boy Scout Troop 173, sponsored by Centre Presbyterian Church and Fair View United Methodist Church in Mt. Mourne.
