Randall "Randy" Thomas Garrison

June 19, 1951 - October 31, 2011

Randall “Randy” Thomas Garrison, 60, of Old County Rd., Cleveland, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2011. Born June 19, 1951, in Iredell County, he was a son of Doris Goodman Walden and husband, Robert, of Cleveland, and the late Fred Thomas Garrison. He was a graduate of West Rowan High School. Mr. Garrison was a retired brakeman for Norfolk Southern Railway having 20 years of service. He was currently employed by New South Electric Company. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Statesville. Mr. Garrison loved music. He was an avid musician, playing stringed instruments. Mr. Garrison was preceded in death by a brother, Milton Walden. In addition to his mother and step-father, he is survived by children, Fredrick Garrison, of Salisbury, John Garrison, of Woodleaf, Randi Garrison and Cam Garrison, both of Cleveland; brother, Robert “Rob” Garrison and wife, Beverly, of Cleveland; sisters, Pamela Garrison Kluttz and husband, Richard, Darlene Garrison Harris and husband, Chris, both of Salisbury, and Teresa Walden Tino and husband, Scot, of Kannapolis; and grandchildren, Ace, Blane and Tre Garrison, Slade Sheridan, and Jasmine “Jazzy Bell” Garrison. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM, Thursday, November 3, 2011, at Calvary Baptist Church, Statesville, with Pastor Chris Haizlip officiating. Burial will follow in the Amity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Cleveland. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2:30 PM, prior to the service at the church.
