Mary Beth Brooks
June 5, 1996 - November 11, 2011
Mary Beth Brooks, our precious gift from God, an amazing daughter, wonderful sister, loving granddaughter, best niece possible, faithful friend, a brilliant and gifted visual artist, talented musician and creative writer with such quick whit, went home to Heaven to be with God and her Gramma, unexpectedly at the age of 15, on November 11, 2011, and is now our Angel above. Mary is watching over her proud and blessed parents, Mike and Jaelene, her loving sisters, McKenna and Meghan and her awesome brother, Jordan. She is shepherding her adoring grandparents, Jim and Sandra McKenna, her Papaw, Gene Brooks, her wonderful aunts and uncles, Jason and Stefanie Bullock (nee McKenna), Brian McKenna, Maureen McKenna, Terry and Debbie Cook (nee Brooks) and Gena Brooks-Patton, her cherished great-grandparents, Choo-Choo Grampa and Choo-Choo Gramma, Jack and Ruth Kemper and her caring great-uncle and aunt, Ray and Sharon Ruberg (nee Sturwold). In addition, she is also looking down upon her wonderful cousins, Erin, Kara and Jenna, “Baby Maureen,” Seth and Tarin, Brandon, Bailey, Brett, Brent and Charlie, all of her special friends, especially Erica, Betty and Abigail and all of her YouTube (puddledivergal) followers. She leaves behind her beautiful memories, her incredible artwork, her creative writings, her passionate music, her ingenious AMV’s, Clarence (Clarinet), Mio (Violin), Kii (Keyboard), Shirley (Guitar), Lelouch (her Korg dream) and all of her hopes, dreams and miracles for us to cherish and smile upon.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM on Friday, November 18 at Williamson’s Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Pitts officiating. Following the burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Statesville, a reception will be held at Living Waters Foursquare Church, 761 River Hwy, Mooresville, NC 28117. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00-9:00 PM at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.
