Larry Thomas Lowder

September 25, 1941 - October 20, 2011

Larry Thomas Lowder, age 70, of Charlotte died peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on October 20, 2011.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Lowder home at 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 23, 2011 with Reverend Bo Osborne and Dale Waters officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 22nd from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the home and at all other times at the home.

Larry was born on September 25, 1941 in Albemarle to his late parents Julius Thomas “J.T.” Lowder and Maggie Poplin Lowder Barnhardt. He was the owner and operator of Larry’s Electronic Tech Service; co-owner of Crafted Threads by Trisha at the Charlotte Farmer’s Market. He was a member of the Derita Lodge #715; AF&AM, a Shriner, an Air Force Reserve C-130 Command Pilot and active in the US Airforce MARS Program. Larry was always eager to help others and did help many people – always thinking of others instead of himself.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Waters Lowder; daughters Tonya Kaplan of Stafford, VA. and Dana Lowder and companion Donnie James of Charlotte; a brother, Danny Lowder and wife Hazel of Albemarle; grandchildren Brendan, Josh, Noah, Hannah and his very much loved and respected uncle and aunt Eli & Shirley Lowder of Norwood, NC. Larry will be surely missed by all that knew and loved him.
