John "Pop" Kerwin Horan

February 5, 1943 - January 26, 2012

John “Pop” Kerwin Horan, 68, of Mooresville, passed away on Thursday, January 26th, 2012, at his residence. Born February 5th, 1943, in Jersey City, NJ, he was a son of the late John and Anna Reiser Horan. Mr. Horan was a former employee for Eastern Airlines where he worked in ground support for 23 years. After his employment with Eastern Airlines, he then went to Kearfott Guidance and Navigation of Little Falls, NJ. Mr. Horan retired as a buyer from DRS Technologies of Oakland, NJ. He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, Mooresville, where he was in The Knights of Columbus. Mr. Horan was preceded in death by sisters, Patricia Centrone and Joan Zappulla. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Susan Spytko Horan; son, John K. Horan, Jr. and wife, JoAnn, of Mooresville; brother, Thomas Horan, of Delaware; sisters, Theresa Preziosi and Kathleen Gohde, both of Weehawken, NJ; and granddaughter, Shaelyn Horan. A memorial mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 AM, Monday, January 30th, 2012, at St. Therese Catholic Church, Mooresville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made In Memory Of John Horan, c/o Susan Horan, his wife. Donations received will be used for the new addition at St. Therese Catholic Church.
