Hubert McLelland Barnett

Hubert McLelland Barnett, 86, of Mooresville, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at the VA Community Living Center in Salisbury.
He was born on June 10, 1925 in Iredell County, to the late Jesse Alexander and Chloe Karriker Barnett. He was a WWII veteran serving in the US Army. He was retired from Burlington Industries.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Lambert Barnett; sister, Ruby Barnett; and brother, Harold Barnett.
He is survived by his children, Eddie Barnett and wife, Darlene of Salisbury, Tommie Barnett of Troutman, Susan Fogleman and husband, Tony of Mooresville; sisters, Kathleen Stowe, Shannon Barnett; brothers, Robert Barnett, Jesse Barnett; grandchildren, Traci Collins and husband, Rory, Nichole Fesperman and husband, Brian, Melissa Reddish and husband, Chad, Noah Fogleman; and great grandchildren, Chandler Collins, Khara Fesperman, and Garrett Fesperman.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 31 at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glenn Dancy, III officiating. Burial will follow the service with Military Honors at Glenwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
