Helen Hawks Dishman

Helen Hawks Dishman, 59, of Teeter Rd., Mooresville, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at Gordon Hospice House, Statesville. Born May 29, 1952, in Charlotte, she was a daughter of the late John W. Hawks and Mary Sloan Hawks. Mrs. Dishman was a retired machinist for EICA. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, Mooresville. Mrs. Dishman is survived by her husband, Harold Mack Dishman, Jr.; sons, Gayland Mack Dishman, of Kannapolis, Jason Lee Dishman, of Mooresville, and David Adam Dishman, of Landis; brother, John Paul Hawks, of Concord; sisters, Kaye Bushy, of Durham, Nancy Farrington, of Statesville, Jean Winkler, of Mt. Mourne, Jackie Marlow, of Troutman, and Sue Morris, of Mooresville; and grandchildren, Tyler Mack Dishman, Autumn Leigh Dishman, and Gavin Dale Dishman. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 PM, Saturday, October 29, 2011, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville, with a prayer service at 6 PM. A graveside service will be held at 1 PM, Tuesday, November 1, 2011, at Salisbury National Cemetery. Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville, is serving the family of Mrs. Dishman.
