In Memory of Flora Hinson
Flora Jump Hinson, 92, of Huntersville passed away on January 12, 2013 at Olde Knox Commons in Huntersville. She was born November 21, 1920 in Unicoa County, Johnson City Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Carl Jump and Gertrude Estes Jump. She received her High School Diploma at age 65 from Albemarle College in Elizabeth City, N.C. She was a member of Berea Baptist Church and of the Senior Adult Choir since 1988.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, J. T. Harris and by her second husband, John Frank Hinson; brothers, Carl Timothy Jump, Floyd R. Jump, and David Robert Jump who was still born; sisters, Clara Dulcenia Jump Weaver, Mary Naomi Jump Carter, and Ruth Cecile Jump.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca H. McCoy of Mooresville; five generations of grandchildren, Kenneth E. McCoy and his wife, Teresa McCoy of Statesville, Sherry M. Troutman and her husband, Keith Troutman of Statesville; great grandchildren, Joshua E. McCoy and his wife, Shelly of Troutman, Jason E. McCoy and his wife, Samantha McCoy of Denver N.C., Kayleigh T. Brisson and her husband, Mark Brisson of Wilmington N.C.; great-great grandchildren, Josie E. McCoy, Journey E. McCoy, and Job E. McCoy.
Funeral Services will be on Monday, January 14, 2013 at 2:00pm at Berea Baptist Church with Rev. David Burgess officiating, assisted by Revs. David Troutman and Dan Freeman. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00pm at the church. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.
Final Testimony: Jesus, Oh I want to see him, look upon His face, there to sing forever of his loving grace, on the streets of glory let me lift my voice, cares all past, home at last; ever to rejoice. "I'm happy in Jesus" said by Flora always!
