Elizabeth "Polly" Ellis Morrow

January 22, 1918 - January 6, 2012

Elizabeth “Polly” Ellis Morrow, 93, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, January 6, 2012. Born January 22, 1918 in Mooresville, she was the daughter of R.P. and Lillian Brown Ellis. Mrs. Morrow was an active member of Triplett Methodist Church.
“Polly” enjoyed gardening and canning the fruits of her labors. She was devoted to her family and friends and was always helping others.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John Mason Morrow, Sr. and her sister Rachel Sherrill.
She is survived by her sons, John Mason Morrow, Jr. and wife Betty of Marion, NC and Robert Sidney Morrow, of Statesville, grandchildren Delores Morrow and John Mason Morrow, III of Marion, NC, great grandchildren Jennifer Boyd of Nebo, NC, Travis Hutchins of Marion, NC, and Eric Morrow of Marion, NC, great-great grandchildren Alicia Wilson and Hailey Boyd of Nebo, NC, Cheyanna Johnson and Destiny Hutchins of Marion NC, sisters Josephine Anderson of Mooresville, Marguerite Neal of Charlotte and Shirley Brown of Salisbury.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 10 at Triplett United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. William “Bill” Roberts officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625 and/or Triplett United Methodist Church, 838 Mazeppa Road, Mooresville, NC 28115.
