Donald Richard Humphrey

September 13, 1936 - December 6, 2011

Donald Richard Humphrey, 75, of Mooresville, went to Heaven on Tuesday, December 6, 2011.
He was born on September 13, 1936 in Iredell County, to the late Clarence Talmadge and Bertha Evelyn Amick Humphrey. He was a US Army veteran, where he served in Korea. He was a retired production manager for Davidson College Laundry. He was a dedicated member of Broad Street United Methodist Church and of the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill Alumni.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert “Bobby” Humphrey.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dianne Davis Humphrey; daughters, Gina Moore and husband, Charles of Mooresville; Karen Stiles and husband, Graham of Charlotte; sisters, Sylvia Johnson of Yadkinville and Vera Humphrey of Mooresville; grandchildren, Kensley, Amy and Marzya Moore, and Lily and Olivia Stiles.
A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 10 at Broad Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Amy Freeze and Rev. Boyce Whitener officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
